Last Saturday, SNL ran a skit making fun of the fact that Obama has accomplished "nothing" so far in his presidency. Look, I'm anti-Obama, but even I know he has accomplished a few things. But apparently the knob-gobbling Obama lovers at CNN got their panties in a wad over someone insinuating something negative about Teh One. So, they took it upon themselves to fact check SNL. You heard that right, they ran a fact check on Saturday. Night. Live. Fucking morons.



Here's my question for these blatant suckers of Satan's cock, where the fuck where you during the election process when SNL was taking on Sarah Palin almost weekly? Did you "fact check" their claims then? Of course not, because that only helped Obama. And people wonder why I cannot stand to watch the news on NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC or CNN? Maybe because they all lost all semblance of impartiality right after they all bowed down to take turns servicing Obama.

Lawrence O'Donnell interviews Peter Schiff, the only man to predict the housing bubble. Shriff happens to be a Republican who is going to challenge Chris Dodd for his seat next year.

Lawrence O'Donnell shows just what an incredible ass a liberal can be when they don't like the person they are interviewing. I don't know whether or not I agree with Schiff about anything, because O'Donnell won't shut his fucking pie hole long enough to let him answer a question.

It's idiots like this, whatever party they belong to, that seriously piss me off. If you're going to ask someone a question, shut up and allow them to answer. If you don't agree with their answer, wait until they're done and then ask a follow up question. I mean, seriously, I didn't go to J school and I can figure this out.

Personally, if I were Peter Schiff, I would have stood up about 30 seconds into the interview and told him he can stick the interview right up his ass. No one should have to sit through an "interview" like that. He may as well be reduced to monologues, because that is basically what he was doing here.

O'Reilly talking to Fox News Babe Megyn Kelly about whether women politicians are treated differently.

The key word they are missing here is "Republican". The question should be, "Are Republican women treated differently?" And the answer is, of course, yes.

Many on the left are fond of claiming that we have a fascist president, or that Bush has so eroded our civil liberties as to leave us living in a "police state".

This is what a police state looks like. Criticize the government, get arrested, be found a few hours later with a gunshot wound to the temple.

Magomed Yevloyev, owner of the www.Ingushetiya.ru Web site, was arrested at Nazran airport in southern Russia after disembarking a flight, according to a statement by media watchdog Reporters Without Borders. Yevloyev was later found dumped on the side of the road, suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, the news site's deputy editor, Ruslan Khautiyev, told the Associated Press. Yevloyev later died at a hospital, Khautiyev said.

If things were really as bad here in the good ol' U. S. of A., I know of quite a few liberal bloggers who would have been found lying in ditches a long time ago. But oddly enough, they are allowed to continue blogging, and no one has kicked in their doors or hauled them off to the concentration camps.

Meanwhile, people in real danger, in countries like Russia, are genuinely putting their lives on the line to speak the truth about what is going on in their countries.

What do you think the chances are that anyone on a nightly newscast would mention that a Russian dissident was arrested and subsequently murdered by the police? I'm thinking slim to none, as this doesn't meet their "communists as good guys" narrative.

The big news you won't hear on the news this week is that John Edwards was caught running around with his mistress and love child. Oddly enough, no major media outlet is covering it. You will only see this in the Enquirer and on the blogosphere. Given the sensitivity of something like this, the LA Times has ordered its bloggers not to cover it.

There has been a little buzz surrounding John Edwards and his alleged affair. Because the only source has been the National Enquirer we have decided not to cover the rumors or salacious speculations. So I am asking you all not to blog about this topic until further notified.

Okay, so they question the source and have decided not to cover it. I can respect that, if they apply that same standard to everyone.

But what's this The LA Times made quite a big deal about a rumor that John McCain was having an in appropriate relationship with a female lobbyist.

Aides to Sen. John McCain confronted a telecommunications lobbyist in late 1999 and asked her to distance herself from the Arizona senator during the presidential campaign he was about to launch, according to one of McCain's longest-serving political strategists.

So, let's review the rules, shall we?

1. Republican candidate: Fuck him, we'll run anything we can get our hands on
2. Former Democratic candidate and presumed VP front runner: I know there were witnesses who actually saw Edwards coming out of the hotel at 2:30 am where his mistress and love child were staying, but we really need to give him the benefit of the doubt. For the children.

Apparently there is some sort of political bias amongst journalists. I know that you are all aghast to hear it, but it appears to be true. And it's not, as Tom has tried so many times to tell us, a bias towards the right. According to this article in Investor's Business Daily, journalists are donating to Democrats over Republicans by 100-1.

An analysis of federal records shows that the amount of money journalists contributed so far this election cycle favors Democrats by a 15:1 ratio over Republicans, with $225,563 going to Democrats, only $16,298 to Republicans .

Two-hundred thirty-five journalists donated to Democrats, just 20 gave to Republicans — a margin greater than 10-to-1. An even greater disparity, 20-to-1, exists between the number of journalists who donated to Barack Obama and John McCain.

Searches for other newsroom categories (reporters, correspondents, news editors, anchors, newspaper editors and publishers) produces 311 donors to Democrats to 30 donors to Republicans, a ratio of just over 10-to-1. In terms of money, $279,266 went to Dems, $20,709 to Republicans, a 14-to-1 ratio.

You mean those objective keepers of Teh Truth^tm are not really unbiased? You mean when Chris Matthews talks about how Barack "The Chosen One" Obama gives him a thrill up his leg, he's not talking hypothetically?

Here's my favorite part, though. Looks like Barack "The Real Thing" Obama has received quite a bit of money from PACs.

And while the money totals pale in comparison to the $9-million-plus that just one union's PACs have spent to get Obama elected, they are more substantial than the amount that Obama has criticized John McCain for receiving from lobbyists: 96 lobbyists have contributed $95,850 to McCain, while Obama — who says he won't take money from PACs or federal lobbyists — has received $16,223 from 29 lobbyists.

That's right, Barack "Middle Name Redacted" Obama, who gave us all his word that he wouldn't accept one penny from PACs (the DNC followed suit the next day), has had more than $9,000,000 in support of his candidacy.

Finally this. Of journalists who listed themselves as actually being employed by a major news organzation (most list themselves as freelancers), the giving was $315,533 to Democrats, $3,150 to Republicans. A whopping four individuals gave money to McCain. Four.

I'm no math major, but $315,533 to $3,150 looks to be about 100-1 in favor of Democrats to me.

But then again, I was educated, for the most part, by DODDS (Department of Defense Dependent Schools), so maybe I'm a little biased.

As long as it's their approved speech.

As you know, this afternoon at 3pm Central time, we're scheduled to hold our Hot Air Tour event in Nashville, during which we hope to launch a hot-air balloon and float over Al Gore's house in an attempt to expose the high cost of global warming alarmism.

So, a group of people want to float a hot air balloon over Al Gore's home to point out the fact that he is, quite frankly, full of shit. They then followed the law and obtained all necessary permits, even naming the location where they planned to launch the balloon. As soon as Gore's people heard about it, they did everything they could to put an end to it. Can't have anyone calling attention to the goreacle's outrageous lifestyle while he's out trying to convert the masses now, can we?

Sure enough, just a few hours before our event was scheduled to kick off, the Nashville Parks and Recreation Department has been in touch, claiming that the permit they approved doesn't allow us to launch our balloon from the city park where we're holding our event -- even though we told them repeatedly exactly what we planned to do.

Roy Wilson, the director of the Board of Parks and Recreation, has even reportedly told one of our staffers on the ground that Nashville police officers will be on hand and will physically restrain members of our crew if they attempt to launch the balloon.

So there you have it. You want your fascist, police state? Just try to protest against a blowhard, hypocritical, liberal hero and they will send the cops to physically restrain you.

On the other hand, if you want all the police and government cooperation you want, protest the military in Berkley.

Fucking liberals. Why is it so hard for people to see who really wants to restrict their speech? If Bush had the police threaten to physically restrain the protesters outside his Crawford ranch, how long before that made international headlines? CNN and MSNBC would spontaneously combust with their combined rage, but let Al Fucking Gore threaten someone and you will never hear another word about it.

I have to go now. I'm so pissed off I can barely see straight.

Perhaps you've been under a rock recently and didn't hear the following quote by Gore Vidal.

“The president behaved like a virtual criminal but we didn’t have the courage to sack him for fear of violating the American Constitution. We live in a dictatorship. We have a fascist government... which controls the media.”

It is idiots like Gore Vidal that make America look bad to the rest of the world, not conservatives. But I'll get back to that in a minute. First, let's talk a little about just what Vidal has to hate about America.

Maybe it's the fact that he can walk in to any supermarket in America on any day of the week and find more food than your average Ethiopian city.

Or maybe it's the fact that you are free to attend any worship service you want, of any religion you desire, at any time. Or not attend. The choice is yours, and it's guaranteed in our constitution.

If you wish to help defend this country, you are free to join any of the branches of service. If, on the other hand, you wish to live under the protection provided by the men and women who serve this nation, you don't have to serve. Because we are an all voluntary military, unlike most countries in the world.

If you decide that you don't agree with one of our elected officials, you are free to protest, write letters to the editor, or spout off your insanity to a news organization like old Gore Vidal did above. And here's the best part, jack booted thugs are not going to show up at your home and drag you off in the middle of the night, never to be heard from again. Try that in Cuba. Or Venezuela. Or Zimbabwe. Or one of a dozen other utopian's societies that are idolized by those on the left.

At then end of a hard day's work, you can go home to your brick home, equipped with a washer and dryer, dishwasher, central heat and air and park your car in your garage to protect it from the elements. You can flip on your cable or satellite and choose from hundreds of channels of news or entertainment while sipping an ice cold beverage waiting for your fresh, hot meal to be delivered. There are literally billions of people on this planet that would give everything they had to live in your garage, let alone enjoy the luxuries you take for granted every day.

If there is a natural disaster (flood, fire, earthquake, hurricane, you name it) in your area, people from all over the country will come to help. They will fill sandbags, and shovel mud or do whatever it takes to help you out. Not because someone is paying them to do it, but because they see a fellow American in jeopardy and they want to help. Just look at the recent flooding in Iowa. Or the thousands of people who have been to New Orleans to rebuild after Katrina.

For that matter, look at the billions of dollars that U.S. citizens have sent around the world to help others after natural disasters, like Burma, or following the tsunami in Indonesia. And that's not counting the money the U.S. government sends, I'm talking about private citizens voluntarily giving to aid organizations.

When election day comes around you can get up in the morning, make your way down to the polling place, vote for any candidate on the ballot, or even write in a candidate, and no one will haul you off to jail or shoot you in the street. The worst thing that will happen is you'll get to work later and get into a heated discussion with Bob from accounting, because he's a lifelong member of the other party and you disagree about the best way to reduce oil prices. Then you'll go back to your desk and go to work.

Speaking of which, maybe you should be upset that 94.5% of the country will get up and go to work today. Which is one of the lowest unemployment rates in the world. Japan's is slightly better, but I can't find anyone else with an unemployment rate close to it. Not even in Europe, which is held up as a model of everything we should be doing in this country.

If your home catches on fire, you can grab your home phone, your cell phone, your wife's cell phone, or any of your children's cell phones and call 911. Trained firemen and rescue workers will rush to your home to save your family and attempt to save your property. If you do lose everything, chances are that you have insurance that will pay you for your damages so you can get back on your feet in a minimal amount of time.

If someone attempts to break in to your home, you have the right to keep firearms in your home to defend yourself. You can also call 911 and tell them that someone is trying to rob you and they will send armed police to your home to defend you and catch the bad guy. Or if you had a firearm of your own, to pick up the body of the bad guy. And the good news is that you don't have to bribe the local police official to stay on his good side so that he'll come out to help you.

And this list is in no way all inclusive. These are but a fraction of the myriad of freedoms and opportunities you have merely by living in the United States. But Gore Vidal and idiots like him would have you believe that we live in a fascist state. That you should be in fear that at any moment George W. Bush's storm troopers will kick in your door, force you to convert to Christianity and haul you off to prison until you either agree to be a good conservative and support him, or they decide to execute you.

It's no wonder the rest of the world thinks ill of us, we can't even get our own media or politicians to speak well of America. The wife of the Democratic nominee called the U.S. a mean nation, Gore Vidal and his like call us fascists, and liberals in the media and in Hollywood spend more than 90% of their time talking about how awful this country is. If the only thing I knew about America came off of CNN, I wouldn't want to live here, either.

Maybe, just maybe, someone ought to spend a little time reminding everyone what a great nation this truly is.

Alberta's human rights commission has ruled against Rev. Stephen Boission in a case concerning hate speech. His crime was the fact that he included parts of the bible that call homosexuality as a sin and immoral.

Along the same lines, Mark Steyn is being pursued by the B.C. Humans Rights Tribunal for what he has written about Muslims.

My question. You think any of these bastions of free speech will go after a single Imam for their views on homosexuality, Jews, or Kafirs?

A law which does not apply to all equally is no law at all. Just as a freedom that does not apply to all equally is not truly a freedom.

Either everyone is allowed free speech, or no one is. Unless you're promoting the liberal value of "free speech", which means free speech for everyone, as long as you agree with me.

Heather Bresch, the daughter of West Virginia Governor Joe Manchin (?), apparently never met the requirements for the MBA that WVU awarded her.

A five-member panel has concluded unanimously that Mylan Inc. executive Heather Bresch, daughter of West Virginia Gov. Joe Manchin, did not fulfill the requirements for an M.B.A. degree from West Virginia University and that administrators acted improperly in granting her the degree retroactively in October, according to a person familiar with the report.

Further down in the article you learn that

Ms. Bresch, chief operating officer at the Cecil generic drug maker and a family friend and former business associate of WVU President Michael Garrison, has insisted she completed a master's degree in business administration in December 1998. She has repeatedly declined to provide a transcript or other documentation and has not spoken to the Post-Gazette since October, when she told the newspaper she had earned her degree.

Oh, so now she's a family friend and former business associate of WVU President Michael Garrison. I'm sure everything's on the up and up, then. I mean, no university president would allow his institution to award an MBA to someone that wasn't qualified just because they're a family friend and happens to be the daughter of the governor, would they?

Surely not.

Oh yeah, and in case you're wondering, since the article never mentions it, governor Joe Manchin is a Democrat.

Jimmy Carter had this to say about his recent talks with Hamas.

“The problem is not that I met with Hamas in Syria, the problem is that Israel and the United States refuse to meet these people... So I told [Hamas] don’t wait for reciprocation, just do it unilaterally. This will bring a lot of credit to you around the world for doing a humane thing. They turned me down. [emphasis mine]”

You mean that a terrorist group that is dedicated to the destruction of Israel refuses to take unilateral action toward peace with Israel? I really can't understand why they didn't succumb to Jimmy's southern charm. I mean, he is one of The Elders^TM, you would think they would react better than this.

HuffPo has a piece up about Laura Bush guest hosting The Today Show next week. The piece in and of itself isn't anything political. It just announces the fact that she will be guest hosting and giving a tour of their ranch. It's the comments, as usual, where the fun begins.

That's it. I'm through with the Today Show. Highlighting this woman who stands behind the worst president in the history of the United States is pandering to the right. What exactly has this superficial excuse for First Lady done? Since she has adopted Education as her cause the only thing I'm aware of is her participating in a superficial Teacher of The Year award and trying to promote reading to Barney. What about the failed No Child Left Behind? What about the 25% of high school students in this country never making it to graduation? Or the huge classrooms? Or lack of educational resources? Or low pay for teachers? Or the high incidence of STD's in our teens? Not a word. What a Stepford Wife except she gives that stereotype a bad name. And how this woman can be married to a man that has caused so much death and destruction and raped our financial health is sickening. As harsh as this sounds, if Today were transmitting in Nazi Germany they would probably have Meredith and Matt cheerfully banter superficailly with Eva Braun. No wonder most Americans are fed up with this drivel that attempts to masquerade as serious journalism. Shame on all those involved with this mind numbing nonsense.

That's what I enjoy about politics. A reasoned and well thought out discussion of the relevant topics of the day. Like comparing Laura Bush to Eva Braun. Because, you know, Bush is Hitler and all that.

I can feel the rainbows and puppies coming on any second now.

According to a recent story, if our Presidential elections were held outside the U.S., Obama would win.

My question, who cares? We don't vote for their leaders, so why do we give a fuck who they want in our White House?

Do we really want to go down this road? I mean, if we want to carry this "we're all citizens of the world" shite out to its natural conclusion, why do we even have individual countries any more? Why not just become one global federation, with a single government that everyone votes on?

I'll tell you why. Because a large percentage of the world is completely fucked in the head. If you're a woman and you think you'll enjoy the same freedoms under a unified world government that you do now, just take a look at what is happening in Europe. They are slowly accepting their new Sharia masters, and don't think they wouldn't be voting to allow polygamy and the hijab into America as quickly as possible.

I care about what the rest of the world thinks about our elections about as much as I care what the ant colony in my back yard thinks about it. We elect our leaders to represent.. wait for it.. wait for it.. almost there.. US!. That's right, the President of the United States of America is just that, the leader of the U.S. He or she is not elected based on how well the rest of the world is going to like him, nor is he elected to play nice with everyone else. He is elected to protect the national interests of our country, not to sell us out in some international likability contest.

There are way too many people that really can't grasp that concept.

Remember the girls arrested for recording their ambush last week? Well, they're back in the news. This time because one of Dr. Phil's staffers paid her bail, and then tried to prevent any other reporters from speaking to her as she left the court room.

The Dr. Phil representative was waiting by the jail's exit, and when Nichols walked out, he tried to block Tampa TV station camera people from getting video of Nichols and her family leaving jail.

At least the show fessed up to it and is now saying that the staffer "violated their policies" and won't be going forward with that show.

But seriously, how desperate do you have to be for ratings to pull the stunts he's been pulling lately. First he visits that train wreck Britney in the hospital, now the show is posting bail for psycho teens. He's just a few ratings points away from hosting "Who's my baby's daddy" shows, or even putting on the fat, toothless rednecks to fight over their man like they do on Springer.

At least his personal life is working out well for him. Oh wait, I forgot about that. I always thought she was too hot for him anyway.

Earlier this week ABC ran a story that the troops are backing the Democrats, essentially because they (the Democrats) want to pull out of Iraq. (note: clicking the link also includes Martha Raddatz's interviews with the troops).

I don't think ABC cherry picked soldiers to find Democratic voters, but I do find it suspicious that nearly everyone they interviewed is in favor of candidates that want to withdraw. I was around the military for the first 22 years of my life, and there are people from every political stripe. You know, just like in the rest of the population. But if the troops are really as demoralized as the media tries to protray, see Stop Loss and Lions for Lambs, than why are they reenlisting in record numbers?

3rd ID completes re-up goal in unprecedented time

The 3rd Infantry Division, headquartered at Fort Stewart, Ga., completed its fiscal year 2008 retention goal in less than six months, which most view as a phenomenal act.

This is unprecedented according to the division’s retention sergeant major. “I’ve been in this career field for 16 years, and I’ve never known of a division to meet its goal in such a short time,” said Sgt. Maj. Kelvin Raibon, the 3rd Infantry Division Retention sergeant major.

This is the division’s third deployment to Iraq since 2003, but its high operational tempo did not stop 4,000 Soldiers from re-enlisting. Even more troops will follow their lead, and by the end of March one battalion with the 3rd Heavy Brigade Combat Team, out of Fort Benning, Ga., will have met its retention goal twice.

The 1st Battalion, 15th Infantry Regiment is four Soldiers away from retaining 200 percent of its goal.

These Soldiers are working together to defend their nation. This is why they joined and why they re-enlisted, said Sgt. 1st Class Thomas Olson, 3rd HBCT senior career counselor.

The 3rd Infantry Division, which is currently the headquarters for Multi-National Division – Center in southwest Baghdad, arrived in theater as part of the Surge. Its Soldiers are serving a 15-month deployment with the combat mission to stop insurgents from bringing bomb-making materials into Baghdad. Within the year, Soldiers have secured most areas, and have begun working closely with the Iraqi Security Forces and tribal leaders to build the economy and make life better for its citizens.

The 3ID is the division that took Baghdad in 2003, went back to Iraq in 2005, and then bore the brunt of the surge in 2007 (Greyhawk, The Mudville Gazette. These are not desk jockeys and cooks, these are boots on the ground, actively engaging the enemy, putting their lives on the line every day. Soldiers that hate what they are doing so much that they are reenlisting to stay and fight at record numbers.

Bet you'll not see a movie about that out of Hollywood any time soon.
