And Now For Something Completely Different

This is one of my favorite videos of all time. I think we could all use a little break from the non-stop political coverage every once in a while. When I need a break, this is what I watch. Every time I watch it I laugh just as hard as the first time.

Makes You Want To Hit The Crack Pipe, Doesn't It?

Looks like Amy Winehouse took the express train to skankville.

Dear Mike Huckabee,

I am a middle class, white, Christian male living in the south. I am, supposedly, an ideal candidate to support you. I don't. So please stop spamming me. I have received a dozen identical emails this morning from your campaign, and it's starting to really annoy me. My state doesn't even have it's primary for quite some time, and hopefully you'll be out of the race by then.

So seriously, cut it out.

Thanks,

Frank

It's The Evil Jooos

Palestinians flooded into Egypt Wednesday after blowing up a 7 mile fence on the border with Egypt.

There are, of course, all the typical allegations of how the Palestinians are starving because of the Jewish "siege". But the two quotes that I find most interesting are these.
"Freedom is good. We need no border after today," said unemployed 29-year-old Mohammed Abu Ghazal.
We need no border after today? If it's the evil Jooos who are to blame for your troubles, why did you have to blow down a fence on the border with Egypt? Why in the world would they want to keep you out? I mean, you are their poor, persecuted brethern, they should welcome you with open arms.
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak told reporters in Cairo his border guards originally had forced back the Gazans on Tuesday.

"But today a great number of them came back because the Palestinians in Gaza are starving due to the Israeli siege," he said.
Well, thank G-d for Mubarak having the compassion to allow them to settle in Egypt where they'll be able to find jobs, provide for their families and finally live in piece away from all those evil Jooos.
"I told them to let them come in and eat and buy food and then return them later as long as they were not carrying weapons," Mubarak said.
What? You're going to make them go back? Why would you ever do that? I mean, if things are so bad there, you should let those people in and help them.
Egypt has largely kept its border with Gaza closed since the Hamas takeover amid concerns of a spillover of Hamas-style militancy into Egypt.
Oh, I see. It's okay for an Arab state to keep the militants out, because, you know, it's good for Egypt. But dear sweet baby Jesus, don't dare let the Israelis try to protect themselves, because then it's a "siege".

Maybe this last quote is most telling of all.
In Egyptian Rafah, a market stall selling pistols and ammunition clips for Kalashnikov assault rifles had no customers Wednesday. Weapons are generally brought into Gaza through smuggling tunnels under the Gaza-Egypt border.

An off-duty Hamas policeman, who only gave his first name as Abdel Rahman, said there was no need to buy weapons from Egypt.

"You can buy weapons in Gaza, guns and RPGs," he said, adding that they were easier to find than Coca-Cola.
Emphasis mine. Here's a thought. If people are so bad off in Gaza, maybe those smuggling tunnels ought to be used to bring in a couple goats and maybe a bag or rice or two. You know, for teh childrentm. But hey, you do what you want. Keep bringing in weapons and attacking the Israelis, because that's be best way to get them to relax the border.

Yes, Please

I've been telling people for years that I would vote for J.C. Watts for President in a heart beat. Now there's talk of a Thompson / Watts ticket. This is as close to a dream ticket as we could have this go 'round.
